BLUEBUNNY RETREAT SPRING 2006
|
THE
7TH ANNUAL "BLUEBUNNY" SPRING RETREAT was held again at El Tesoro,
the beautiful Campfire Camp tucked away in Acton, TX.
The Bluebunny retreats are the best opportunity each year for students of Ven. Lama Dudjom Dorjee to receive in-depth teachings and spend some 'quality time' with Lama-la and with each other. Plan on joining us in 2007.. Look for details on this website in early Spring. Ven. Lama Dudjom Dorjee continued to teach from "The Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen: The Quintessence of Spiritual Practice, The Direct Instructions of the Great Compassionate One" by Karma Chagmey. Karma Chagmey was a great Kagyu /Nyingma yogi and poet who lived in the 17th century. This text presents pith instructions on the path to enlightenment. Also continuing were Lama Dorjee's series of autobiographical talks, with Chenrezik practice every evening and songs from the King of the Yogis, Milarepa by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche. During retreat every day had a full schedule including practice, teaching, meditation, yoga, discussion, walks in the woods, and service practice such as cleaning or helping with food preparation. There was also time for solitary walks, time to explore the nature trails and many facets of this very large and private site on the Brazos River. Accommodations are rustic but comfortable, and the food is light and tasty. View the Photo Gallery for :
